Walking Books

The Aurora Public Library District believes that all residents should be able to benefit from the library; everyone has the right to lifelong learning. Therefore, the library offers our homebound patrons the Walking Books program.

Any patron who due to age, injury, or disability is physically unable to come to the library, may participate in the program. You do not have to be a Senior Citizen to qualify.

Interested patrons should contact the Aurora Public Library (926-0646) to begin the registration process. A Walking Books librarian will then visit the patron to complete the registration. The types of materials in which the patron is interested will also be discussed during the visit.

Materials will be delivered on the third Thursday or Friday of every month. There will be no late charges.

The participant is responsible for the care of the materials and must be willing to pay for any materials that are lost or damaged.
